Post Show Press Release - Derby Property & Business Investment Show
Hundreds of property & business investment professionals were given an insight into the City’s prospects at the Derby Property & Business Investment Show at Pride Park on Tuesday 11th May. It was a chance for the industry to take stock of the local market and for Derby to sell itself to investors and national intermediaries. With over five hundred visitors through the day the organiser teams were busy delivering extra seating for the 200+ audience at the Investment seminar sponsored by Marketing Derby, Derby Cityscape and Rigby & Co where delegates heard from Tim Carnegie of London based business consultancy Cushman & Wakefield about what businesses want when looking for a new base. Steve Midgely MD of Fairgrove Homes and chairman of the East Midlands House Building Federation spoke of the challenges facing residential developers and Adam Wilkinson ceo of Derby City Council and Peter Richardson chairman of Derby Cityscape and the Derby Renaissance Board had details of 2011 funding.
North of England Property & Business Investment Show September 30th 2010
Just a glimpse of positive enthusiasm is starting to emerge in Yorkshire and Humberside as the curtain is pulled back on the 30th September North of England Property & Business Investment Show. The event which started in 2005 skipped last year in the height of the recession but returns to a new venue at Cedar Court Wakefield. Business Shows boss Martin Freeman who organises the event says: “Property & Business Investment has been hit as hard as any industry – but the recent improved trading reports from many companies engaged in the sector is delivering confidence back into the sector”. “The event’s move from the Royal Armouries Leeds to Cedar Court is significant” says Martin “delegate entrance to the Exhibition and Seminars is completely free of charge and this move also enables us to scale down costs and provide free parking in a location that itself has the potential to be an investment hotspot”.
